ගුවන් හමුදාපති කුසලාන රග්බි තරඟාවලිය හි පළමු අදියර 2021 අගෝස්තු මස 13 වන දින රත්මලාන ගුවන් හමුදා කඳවුරු රග්බි ක්‍රීඩාංගණයේදී ගරු අග්‍රාමාත්‍ය මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් ආරම්භ විය.
තරුණ හා ක්‍රීඩා අමාත්‍ය නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ මැතිතුමාගේ උපදෙස් මත රග්බි ක්‍රීඩාව ප්‍රවර්ධන කිරීමේ අරමුණින් ගුවන් හමුදාපති එයාර් මාර්ෂල් සුදර්ශන පතිරණ මහතාගේ අධීක්ෂනය යටතේ ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගුවන් හමුදාව විසින් මෙම තරඟාවලිය සංවිධානය කරන ලදී.
ලකුණු 23ට 21ක් ලෙස ගුවන් හමුදා කණ්ඩායම පරදා CH & FC කණ්ඩායම පළමු තරඟයේ ජයග්‍රහණය තමන් සතුකර ගැනීමට සමත් විය.
මෙම තරඟාවලිය සඳහා සහභාගී වූ සියලූම ක්‍රීඩකයින් සහ සහායක කාර්‍ය්මණ්ඩලය ජෛව ආරක්ෂිත බුබුලක් තුළ සිට පුහුණුවීම් සිදු කර ඇති අතර තරඟාවලිය තුළ සෞඛ්‍ය අවධානමක් ඇතිවීම වැලැක්වීම සඳහා 2021 අගෝස්තු මස 20 වන දින දක්වා එම ජෛව බුබුල ක්‍රියාත්මක වනු ඇත.
තරඟාවලිය නැරඹීම සඳහා ගරු තරුණ හා ක්‍රීඩා අමාත්‍ය නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ මැතිතුමා සහ ගුවන් හමුදා මාණ්ඩලික ප්‍රධානී එයාර් වයිස් මාර්ෂල් ප්‍රසන්න පායෝ ඇතුළු ආරාධිතයින් පිරිසක් සහභාගී විය.
The Air Force Commander’s Cup Rugby Tournament begins in a bio-secure bubble.
The first leg of the Air Force Commander’s Cup Rugby Tournament commenced on 13 August 2021 at the Air Force Base Rugby Ground, Ratmalana, under the patronage of Hon. Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
The tournament was organized by the Sri Lanka Air Force under the supervision of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana with the aim of promoting rugby, on the instructions of the Hon. Minister of Youth and Sports, Namal Rajapaksa.
CH & FC turned victorious with a score of 23 points (2 tries, 2 conversions, 3 penalty) against the Air Force Team who made 21 points (2 tries, 1 conversions, 3 penalties).
All the athletes and support staff who participated in the tournament have been training from within the bio-secure bubble which will be active until August 20, 2021, to prevent any health risks during the tournament.
The Hon. Minister of Youth and Sports Namal Rajapaksa and the Chief of Staff of the Air Force Air Vice Marshall Prasanna Payo were among the invited guests to witness the tournament.
