The opening match featured Moragasmulla SC taking on Pelicans SC, followed by a competitive encounter between Sri Lanka Police SC and Super Sun SC of Beruwala. Both matches delivered high-intensity action, drawing enthusiasm from fans and setting the tone for an exciting season ahead.

The Racecourse venue was transformed into a vibrant sporting arena with eye-catching branding, professional matchday operations, and an electrifying atmosphere—meeting international standards for the first time in the stadium’s history for the league.
